“ A green lung in a densely urban area.” Sir Gerald Kaufman MP 1930 - 2017 Home

This informal walking group meets every Tuesday in the Barn Complex in the centre of the park at 10.30.am.

Anyone is welcome to come and join the group for a walk. Most walkers tend to be either retired or elderly so the walks are not too strenuous and at a leisurely pace. All the paths are properly maintained.

Walking routes are along the many paths around the park and Gorton reservoirs, also taking in the Fallowfield Loop Cycle Track and Kings Road which runs between Denton and Fairfield Golf Courses. This is a beautiful area sometimes referred to as our ‘local Lake District’.

Sometimes walking trips are organised to other areas.
